Kugelblitz 1.0.2

· Build 30

Improved

  • The app icon has a lighter, sky-blue background.
  • Buildings: A mapped flat roof without a colour of its own now has a darker grey of its own, a lighter one on a dark map. So it stands apart from a roof nothing is mapped about, also from high up.
  • Activity: Blue in the bars now means only what is coming over the network. What Kugelblitz reads from the cache on your Mac is mint. The line “Map” only appears while tiles of the map are in view, and the window is narrower.
  • Cache on the local network: Kugelblitz asks the remote caches right after launch, before it loads anything from the internet, and fetches aerial photos from them ready prepared. So almost everything another Mac already has comes from it, and faster.
  • Report a Problem: The report now names the point looked at exactly, also when the view stands on your location, so the problem can be reproduced at the same spot. Your location itself is still not in it. It also holds the kind of map, light or dark, the exaggeration and all the sidebar sets; a report opened sets all of it again. The email address your last report arrived with is filled in already; if you send one without an address, Kugelblitz forgets it.

Fixed

  • Buildings: A building across the edge of a map tile now stands as one block. Before, a wall sometimes ran across its courtyard there, and a gabled roof broke at the edge.
  • Terrain: Lakes, rivers and borders now lie on the terrain from farther than 60 km as well. Before, they jumped down a little in the mountains as you zoomed out.
  • Topographic map: The shaded relief runs smoothly across the edges of the terrain tiles. Before, a crease with a row of small bumps sometimes ran along them.
  • Aerial photos: In Berlin no other image shows through narrow gaps in the photos beside buildings any more.
