States

Markers for what holds

A state group stands for something outside: whether a microphone is muted, who has the floor, which part of the show you are in. It has named states and is always in exactly one of them. Steps change it, and every change can trigger actions.

What changes and what follows

A button only switches “Mikro” to “stumm” (muted); another action waits for that change and turns the lamp red, and the Stream Deck key too. When a second remote joins later, it only switches “Mikro”, and everything else follows by itself.

In multiples

A group can exist several times: “Wortmeldung 1” to “Wortmeldung 4” (request to speak) for four guests, with the same states, each number in its own. On the overview you switch them by hand too.

Stagehand recognises loops in which an action would trigger itself through states beforehand, and no action ever runs as a consequence of itself.
