Tile server

All of OpenStreetMap, without a download and without regions

OpenStreetMap comes from Kugelblitz's own tile server: the whole planet, prepared for Kugelblitz, in tiles only for the area you see, at the level the distance asks for. No regions, no large download, the same everywhere on Earth.

What the tiles hold

Roads, places, areas, addresses, populations, buildings and the ground of the road map and the topographic map. The names in the language of the interface come with their tile, smaller behind the local name. GEBCO's sea depths come from there too.

Loaded tiles stay in the cache and are there at once on the next visit, without a network too.

How they are made

Planetiler builds the tiles from Planet OSM with a profile of its own, as PMTiles. So they carry what Kugelblitz draws.

If it fails

Then roads, places, names and buildings can come from OpenFreeMap without you doing anything; some things are missing there, such as addresses and populations. For this Kugelblitz asks at launch what is set, naming only the version and whether you take betas. Without any tile server Natural Earth remains: coasts, borders, waters, transport routes, places and names, as seen from high up.
